Collection: Thor Hammer

The Thor Hammer Company did not originate soft face hammers, but it has specialised exclusively in soft faced hammers and mallets for 100 years, often working closely with customers to develop a hammer or mallet that is perfectly suited to their particular use. Thor can claim to have practically invented the extensive range we see today.

There are so many uses – we count over 100 - for non marking, non damaging soft faced hammers. So it's little surprise then that Thor makes over 200 different products using materials such as copper, hide, brass, aluminium, lead, plastic, rubber, nylon and polythene for striking faces combined with a selection of wood, plastic, fibre glass and aluminium handles. The range keeps growing as customers find ways to use Thor striking tools to make their work more productive.

Famous customers have included Jaguar cars, Rolls Royce, Dunlop, GEC, Vauxhall Motors, and Black & Decker. From the smallest jewellers’ hammers to seriously heavy hammers for the largest earth moving equipment where a non-damaging hand-operated striking solution is required. They are essential in automotive, aerospace, industrial engineering, marine engineering, mining, and railway industries.

And now tradespeople such as plumbers and heating engineers, bathroom, bedroom and kitchen fitters, builders, carpenters, bricklayers, roofers, window fitters, tilers and electricians are realising that Thor's range of hammers offer better solutions for virtually every trade and task.
